The short version
Your workout records stay on your iPhone and paired Apple Watch. RepSheet does not upload your workout or Apple Health data to our servers or to Clerk. Optional account information, including a profile photo you choose to upload, is stored by Clerk, our authentication provider. Local workout features can be used without an account.
RepSheet has no ads, no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, and no third-party advertising trackers. Optional authentication-provider analytics are disabled. We do not sell your information or share it for advertising.
What we collect
Account information, handled by our authentication provider Clerk:
- Your email address, used to sign you in and to send password resets.
- Your password, stored only as a salted hash by Clerk. We never see it.
- An optional first and last name, if you choose to add them.
- Your profile photo, if you upload one or choose an authentication provider that supplies one. Uploaded photos are stored with your Clerk account and may appear on other devices where you sign in.
- A user ID that Clerk generates, which RepSheet uses to keep your workout data separate from anyone else who signs in on the same device.
- Technical authentication data processed by Clerk, which may include your IP address, device or browser identifiers, operating system, and interactions with the sign-in system. Clerk may infer an approximate location from your IP address.
Workout information, stored on your devices:
- Workout templates, exercises you create, and the sets, reps, weight, and durations you log.
- Your settings, such as preferred units, rest timer length, weekly goal, and fitness goal.
- Your workout history, Apple Health workout identifiers, recorded time in heart-rate zones, and the max heart rate and Push minute goal used for the session.
If you choose a photo, the system photo picker gives RepSheet access to the image you select. Taking a new photo requires camera permission. The chosen profile image is uploaded to Clerk. We do not browse your full photo library, request precise location, or access your microphone or contacts.
Apple Health and Apple Watch
Apple Health access is optional. Phone Health sync and heart-rate zone setup ask for their relevant permissions when you enable them. Starting a workout on Apple Watch also requires Health permission. You can change these permissions in Apple Health or your device settings. Logging workouts on the phone works without Health access.
- With phone Health sync enabled, RepSheet writes finished workouts and, if enabled, estimated active energy. Body weight from Health improves the calorie estimate; a generic default is used when unavailable. Phone calorie estimates are not sensor measurements.
- For heart-rate zones, the phone reads the highest accessible heart rate from the previous 90 days. If none is available, it uses age derived from your Health birthday to estimate a maximum. If neither is available, zones remain unavailable. The phone does not save your birthday or a copy of your raw heart-rate history.
- During Watch workouts, HealthKit supplies live heart rate and active energy. The Watch records the workout through HealthKit and computes time in each zone. These values are fitness estimates, not medical assessments.
- Workout templates, recent history, current session details and zone configuration move between your paired iPhone and Watch. The Watch sends logged sets and workout results back to the phone. A shared on-Watch cache supplies the weekly widget.
We do not sell Health data, use it for advertising, send it to Clerk or data brokers, or use it for purposes unrelated to the workout features described here. RepSheet excludes its workout storage from device backups. Apple manages the Health store and any Health synchronization you enable separately.
Turning off phone Health sync stops future phone writes; revoke Watch Health permissions separately if you no longer want to record Watch workouts. Existing Apple Health records remain yours and can be removed in the Health app.
How we use it
- To create your account and sign you in.
- To keep local and signed-in workspaces separate, log workouts, show progress and synchronize with your paired Watch.
- To send you account emails such as email verification and password resets.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or automated decision making, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
Who we share it with
One service provider: Clerk, which handles authentication and stores your account record and profile photo. Clerk processes account and technical authentication data on our behalf under its data-processing terms. You can read Clerk's privacy information at clerk.com/legal/privacy.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information if we are legally required to.
How long we keep it
Your account record is kept for as long as your account exists. Clerk may retain limited authentication and security records as required to operate its service or comply with law. Workout data remains on your devices until you delete it or remove the app. We do not maintain a cloud backup of workouts. Cached Watch history is replaced when new history arrives or cleared when the phone tells the Watch the account was removed.
Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account from inside the app at any time: open Profile, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete Account. This permanently removes your account record and profile photo from Clerk and removes that account’s local workouts, templates, custom exercises, settings and drafts. Local cleanup happens first; if the online step fails, the app asks you to retry. An interrupted local cleanup resumes on the next launch. This cannot be undone.
The paired Watch clears its cached account data when it next connects. Other accounts and local-mode workouts are kept separate. To clear local-mode data, use Profile → Delete local data. Apple Health records are managed separately in Health. Other iPhones with their own local copy must be cleared on those devices. If you need help or cannot reach the in-app control, email robhen010@gmail.com.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict how it is processed. You can exercise most of these directly in the app, or by emailing robhen010@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. You will never be charged or treated differently for exercising these rights.
Children
RepSheet is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email robhen010@gmail.com and we will delete it.
International transfers
RepSheet is operated from the United States. Clerk and its subprocessors may process account data in the United States and other countries where they operate. If you use RepSheet elsewhere, your account information may be transferred across borders.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that meaningfully affects you, we will update the date at the top of this page and note the change in the app release notes.
